Grip the surfaces
Radial serrations engage the underside of the bolt head or nut and the clamped material.
Wedge-locking technology
A two-piece washer system that secures bolted joints against rotational loosening under vibration and dynamic loading.
Nord-Lock Group technologyProduct overview
Nord-Lock Original Washers use cams on the inner faces and radial serrations on the outer faces. The serrations grip the joint while the cam geometry turns attempted loosening into increased bolt tension.
How it works
The paired washers are installed cam face to cam face. Their outer serrations engage the fastener and joint surfaces.
Radial serrations engage the underside of the bolt head or nut and the clamped material.
When rotation begins, movement occurs between the two inner cam faces.
The cam angle is greater than the thread pitch, so the cams must climb before the fastener can loosen.
That wedge effect opposes rotation and helps the bolted joint retain its clamp load.
